I have a formula that I use when I was a good deal on a hotel room.
1. To remain http://www.orbitz.com/ for hotels in the area you want to search. You can buy all sorts of criteria and research services. This gives you a good idea of where the hotels are cheaper.
2. Find a coupon online that has the quality of a heading "Travel" and / or hotels. I usually use:

Hotel Coupon: http://www.couponheaven.com/subcategory. ...
You will notice that most hotels offer the best deals online booking (most are the lowest prices, guaranteed), and perhaps you will find an additional agreement (store coupon code) that you have some $. This spring, I had a free night stay at the Westin Hotel by the formula!
